The magnificent Crocosmia "Lucifer" (z.5-9) with Daisies or Leucanthemum vulgare (z.3-8)
But this is a favorite of mine as well, where the pink coneflower or Echinacea purpurea barely noticeable in the first picture takes the center stage in this shot
This is a more balanced shot between three favorites in our sun garden.
Which photograph is your favorite? First, second or third?

Gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gunilla! Love your photography as well!
DeleteBeautiful arrangement.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christian!
DeleteJust stunning. Have I asked you before to share some info on your camera and photography technique? Please share and forgive me if my sieve for a brain has already forgotten.
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
DeleteI don't think that I ever gave you to answer to your question about the camera we use. Since late 2010, early 2011 we are using a Nikon D90 35mm with only one lens 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G that could cover a wide range of situations. Mostly I use it on Auto setting. I use the Flower or People portrait setting for close-ups and the Running/Moving setting for birds pics.
My best flower close-ups are from the camera I had before this one .also a Nikon D60 35mm but I had two separate lenses and the macro setting for flowers gave me some unreal results. Even the Auto setting gave me exquisite results. My hubby decided to sell it and "up-grade".
The pictures posted today are from 2005 and were taken with a smaller digital camera that used to be my gardening camera - a Canon Powershot S410 used on the flower setting macro. I gave this camera to my daughter and she lost it. In 2008 I was using another Canon Powershot SD450 . I also gave this to my daughter but now but she rarely uses it since all her gadgets now have build in cameras. When I will post my favorite shots on Monday mornings, I will list the camera used for that shot since this series of pictures will be from different years.
Thanks so much for taking the time to be so thorough in your reply. I love all your photos and I probably see your pictures with a less critical eye than you yourself do...that's just human nature.
DeleteOr maybe I am just that talented that even a common small digital camera in my hands gives gorgeous results (:)
DeleteLovely, bright colors! I like the last one best.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Betty! I like the last one too!
