Garden Blogger Bloom Day- April 2015

I know we started the spring a little later than last year but the weather was decently warm and rainy and we have more blooms now that last year on the same day here in Hudson, OH zone 5.  Check-out my last year's post HERE

So what is blooming now?

Rockcress or Arabis alpina (zone 4-7)

Daffodil " Ice king"

Daffodil "Repleate"

Daffodil

Narcissus "Tete-a-Tete"

Dutch Hyacinth

Dutch Hyacinth or Hyacinthus orientalis

Tulip Kaufmanniana "Hearts Delight"-The last one


Lungwort or Pulmonaria (zone 3-8)

Helleborus orientalis

Primula vulgaris or Primrose
Muscari and Tete-a-Tete Daffodils

Forsythia

Scilla siberica

Cut-leaved toothwort  or Cardamine concatenata  (z. 3-8)

Spring Beauty or Claytonia Virginica

Bloodroot or Sanguinaria canadensis 

Japanese Fantail Willow or Salix sachalinensis ‘Sekka’  

Spicebush..my woods are loaded with spicebush in bloom

Lovage, oregano, lettuce, radishes

Trillium grandiflorum

  3. These are some wonderful spring colors. I am loving that Ice King Daffodil--I've never seen one that lacy and gorgeous.
