    What an awesome combination. The close-up is exquisite but the more extensively inclusive picture shows what a great supporting cast surrounds the 2 stars.

      One purple lupine planted itself right behind the clematis. I wish I took more pictures of the two together. Hopefully they will be together for another season. You never know with lupines. They are short lived.
